TWO-LAYER MEMBRANES
Two-layer membrane roof systems typically consist of a bitumen-based membrane applied over the substrate. The joints on the first layer are protected by the offset joints in the second layer and the extra thickness offers a better puncture resistance and joint security.
The basesheet and capsheets used for each system are specifically based on the requirements of the project, including substrate, weather conditions, and use of the area. These include fully torched, self-adhesive, mechanically fastened, and root resistant options.
TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin)
TPO is a single-ply polyester-reinforced membrane installed as fully bonded or fleece backed systems. Membrane is directly welded so there is no reliance on sealants. TPO’s fibre reinforced, long term heat, UV, and natural fungal resistance, plus flexibility without the need of liquids, making this a reliable low-slope roofing system.
LIQUID-APPLIED MEMBRANES
Liquid-applied membranes are applied as paint-on systems in several coats to create jointless, flexible membrane that is fully bonded to the substrate. They are generally reinforced with fiberglass matting to improve wearability and the ability to withstand building stress.
DekMASTER
This is a fully cured vinyl resin material impregnated onto a non-woven polyester fabric back. It is applied with an adhesive with welded seams. It is a trafficable membrane and comes in different colour options.
